If you haven’t taken CBD oil before, or if you’re just starting out, you might be wondering how much you should take.
Should I take it once a day or twice a day? Should I take it every 4 hours?
Should I fill up the dropper 1/2 or 3/4 of the way? Or should I fill it all the way up and chug it down like a cold beer? 🍺
Will I get sick or feel woozy if I take too much? Will I get high or overdose?
These are all common questions we get all the time so let’s get to the bottom of this and ease your concerns.
A Good Dosage When Starting Out
The ‘official’ recommendation we give on our CBD bottles is to take 1/2 of a dropper 1-2 times a day.
The reason for this is because there is no ‘one size fits all’ scenario for each person.
Someone might be in great health but wants to add a little more to their routine, and just needs to take it once a day. That’s smart.
Someone else might be in pain or have some sort of condition that needs attention and needs to take it twice a day. That’s smart too.
Either way, go with your gut feeling and do what feels right to you.
Since we are in the Crossfit community, we beat up our bodies pretty good from killing all those wods.
We tend to wake up pretty sore with fatigued muscles and lots of lactic acid. For us, we absolutely take our CBD oil twice a day… morning and night.
And it’s made a huge difference.
If you’re absolutely not sure how much to start with, start with just once a day and increase accordingly.
Will I Get High Or Overdose On CBD Oil?
No one in the history of the world has ever died from a CBD overdose… no one. In fact, there have been over 250 deaths in the last 6 years from taking selfies. 🤳
That’s right… taking a freakin selfie is more dangerous than taking CBD oil. 😳
The only thing that might happen is you feel really relaxed and fall asleep. That’s not such a bad thing either.
And you can’t get high because THC is what gets you high, not CBD.
So if you still have a stigma about getting high from anything cannabis related, we invite you to be open minded and shift your thoughts.
There’s a lot of misinformation out there about this stuff and we’re here to help educate you. 🙌
What Mg Dosage Should I Take?
As you start to see more and more CBD oil in the marketplace, you’ll see everything from 250mg, 500mg, all the way up to 3000mg… and everything in between.
The reason for the wide range of mg dosages is a completely different conversation as we’ve detailed here.
Let’s focus on 250mg and 500mg as good starting points.
If you are smaller in size and are literally concerned as to what CBD oil might do to you, start small with the 250mg dosage.
If you do Crossfit regularly, or any other high-intensity routine and experience a decent amount of soreness, we recommend starting with the 500mg dosage and working up. 🏋️♂️
As we said before, we take it twice a day using the 500mg… and we’re seeing awesome results.
If you’re bigger in body size, you should start with the 500mg dosage.
These are just our recommendations, but as always do what’s most comfortable to you.
In order to get the best results with CBD oil, you absolutely have to have patience. This is a marathon, not a sprint. 🏃🏻♂️
If you decide to lose 15lbs, you’re not going to diet for a few days and look on the scale and hit your goal. It takes time and consistency… like so many things in life. 👍
We have continually seen that it takes around 30-60 days to see real noticeable results with our customers, on average.
However, some people have literally felt a huge difference in the first few days of taking our CBD oil. Let us stress that isn’t the norm though.
Everyone’s body, body type, and situation is completely different.
Just understand that taking CBD oil for pain relief or inflammation is NOT like taking an ibuprofen.
