This is a question we get almost everyday, and it’s understandable.
The simple answer is NO!
Before you stop reading because we gave you the answer already, let us explain why…
The Truth Of The Matter
There’s a real stigma out there that if you touch anything related to cannabis, you’ll be considered a ‘stoner’, a ‘druggie’, or a loser… and that you’re gonna get high because you’re putting cannabis into your system.
That’s not true at all!
Cannabis has been demonized, criticized, lied about, and of course made federally illegal… and it all started back in the mid 1900’s, mostly because politicians wanted to push their agendas.
The movie Reefer Madness didn’t help matters either, and remember… there was no Internet or easy way back then to find information like there is today.
But what people fail to realize is that cannabis and its derivatives have been used for centuries for medicinal purposes, among other things like textiles, clothing, etc.
Did you know the original flag of the United States was made out of hemp? Pretty cool, right?!?!
So why is there such a stigma with cannabis? Why is it looked upon so negatively by some people?
Because it’s all about education… or the lack thereof.
The 2 Derivatives Of The Cannabis Species
Cannabis is a species that has 2 main plants… the marijuana plant and the hemp plant.
The hemp plant is ‘male’ containing seeds, and the cannabis plant is ‘female’ with no seeds.
Both plants have compounds in them called cannabinoids, and the 2 most abundant are CBD and THC.
You’ve probably heard a lot about them in the news lately, but you may not truly understand the differences, and that’s okay. Most people don’t.
In a nutshell, CBD is the compound that provides you a number of natural health benefits, and THC is the compound that gets you high.
Now that’s a very simplistic explanation of those 2 compounds, but it gives you the general idea.
So to recap… Cannabis species has 2 different plants (hemp & marijuana), and both plants contain CBD and THC.
Are we good so far?
The 2014 Farm Bill – Section 7606
Back in 2014, a very important bill passed notably called the 2014 Farm Bill, specifically section 7606.
The big takeaway from that bill was that ‘industrial hemp’ products could start to be manufactured and researched on a limited level, as long as there was less than .3% THC in the final products.
That was a HUGE win for the cannabis industry!
** NOTE: At the time of this writing, there’s legislation in the Senate to approve the 2018 Farm Bill which would permanently legalize hemp as a crop, period! By the time you’re reading this, that may have already happened.
Why is this important to know?
Because our government wouldn’t allow any part of hemp to be legalized if it feared people would get high as a result of using it.
Now let’s not give the government too much credit here. The fact that hemp and CBD are considered the same as heroin is simply idiotic and typical of a government… but at least it’s progress, right?
Point is, hemp oil will absolutely not get you high.
But… is your hemp oil actually good quality? That’s a completely different conversation, but one we’ll quickly address now.
Wod Recovery Rx Hemp Oil
So if you’re considering taking hemp oil, you need to understand the difference between good hemp oil and bad hemp oil.
There’s a full analysis here, but we can give you the cliff notes.
When we created our hemp oils, we absolutely demanded the best. If we wouldn’t give it to our kids, family members, or pets, we wouldn’t do it.
We were adamant that our hemp oil was made in the USA, organically grown and processed, be Non-GMO, be formulated for high intensity athletes, be 3rd party lab tested, and have absolutely ZERO THC!
It also had to taste great too!
While the legal limit for hemp oil is up to .3% THC, ours is a real 0.0% THC. The best part is it retains the full spectrum profile that is so important to getting the full benefits of hemp oil.
We did this because some of you have careers in military, law enforcement, fire departments, high-profile jobs, etc… and if you fail a drug test, you’d be out of a career.
We don’t want that!
The likelihood of that happening with a .3% THC is not likely, but we didn’t want to take that chance.
Now that you know what quality hemp oil is supposed to be, take a look at our line of top shelf hemp oils and pick one up here!
TIP: You’ll need to consistently take hemp oil for 90 days to really feel the effects.
